I speak for the hardcore (ruff, rugged and raw) / I'm outta here, catch me chillin on my next tour /
From the US to the white cliffs of Dover / Strictly underground funk, keep the crossover.
[Parrish 'PMD' Smith].
This pod-cast is dedicated to an elite squad of emcees and beat makers who never made you question hip-hop in the 1990's. I've been meaning to put this selection together for a long time now and it was so hard to compile, simply because, the amount of top notch beats & rhymes these particular artists turned out on a regular basis was second to none. I'm talking about the legendary rap kings EPMD aka Erick Sermon & Parrish Smith alongside fellow word-smiths Das EFX, Keith Murray, K-Solo and Redman, collectively known as The Hit Squad and Def Squad respectively. This has got to be volume one of (think of a number) as there were so many funked up bangers I wanted to include right here, so you can rest assure that part two will be hear in the very near future.
So all aboard the good ship once again, as your favourite artists, favourite pod-cast gets ready to set sail for another two hours plus of Morpheus Soul Dopeness, with a truck load of classic joints from EPMD & family & featuring guest appearances from LL Cool J, Too Short & Method Man.
Please Feel Free to Share & Spread The Joy.
Parental Advisory Explicit Content. Link after track-listing: ENJOY!
