Pod-cast & Track-listing: The Morpheus Soul Show ft. Shelley Nicole, Lyric L & Jeff Joseph Jeudy {12th Feb '11}

On this very special edition of the show we welcomed all the way from Brooklyn, New York to Brixton, London  the incredible ROCKSOULFUNKSTRESS That is Miss Shelley Nicole. Imagine Nona Hendryx meets Black Sabbath or Janis Joplin meets Grace Jones and there you will find the blaKbüshe experience, the name of Shelley's incredible band. I can hear that Funkadelic/Parliament sound that Labelle music but completely original and 100% DOPE! We talked music & life with Shelley as well as a LIVE jam session alongside The Temporary Resident's very own vibes-master Lyrickal.

This was billed as a Double Special Guest Live Jam Edition but turned out to be a triple header because not only did we have the fabulous Shelley Nicole performing live alongside the one & only Lyrickal...We always like to keep it progressive on The Morpheus Soul Show and this edition was no different as we created space in the studio for another young lady with an enormous talent. London based rapper & spoken word artist Lyric L also joined us for an explosive live jam session. Miss Lyric L has featured, recorded and toured with a range of talented musicians and producers including MJ Cole, Nathan Haines, Mark De Clive Lowe & Bugz In The Attic. She has also supported Izzi Dunn, Omar, The Roots, Incognito, Big Daddy Kane, Xantone Blacq and Ty too name a few.

Along with the two lovely ladies on board, we also had all the way from Brooklyn, New York. The Haitian Sensation, blaKbüshe guitarist and all round nice guy Jeff Joseph Jeudy!

ENJOY!
